How about you?

..ugly or beautiful?

Here is a different perspective.

At 17 I was told the number 1 fear of a Type 1 diabetic is amputations. Next was blindness but I was scared witless about losing my feet. So I got proactive and have taken excellent care of my feet. Thankfully, they are still with me and look good. Even when I wore Monolos 👠back in the day, I was meticulous in caring for my feet. I did all my own pedicures and never wore sandals. Too risky...

Hideous. I've never seen beautiful feet.

@SeaMaiden  My feet are nice. I have my dad's feet. For a man, his feet were perfect. He took great care of them. On the other hand, my mom's feet were a mess. Bunions and hammer toes. She had many surgeries.

IMO, my mom, like most moms I knew growing up, wore those ridiculous scuff slippers. She never didn't wear them at home. They constricted her toes as far as I could see. They weren't leather, but seemed to be some cheap material made overseas.

Me, on the other hand was always barefoot at home. My mom would say put some shoes on. Nope. LOL. I liked barefoot. Today, and older, I wear my Birkenstocks every day at home and even out for quick errands. When I dress up a little I can still wear my cowboy boots.

I take good care of my feet. A lesson well learned from dad. I won the genetic lottery to get his feet. Woman LOL My sister didn't.

Moral of the story.....I'm just grateful to have feet that get me where I need to go. I know some folks that have had amputations.

This is funny!  I have ok feet.  Not ugly not pretty. Never saw pretty feet actually except little kids!!  Anyway, my size 10's are totally flat (thanks Dad!) and that makes my 69 year old ankles not so nice cause they lean inward more than ever with age.  I do take care of them and paint my toes in the summer.  That always helps!

I have a good looking foot. Nice arch. Toes decent, heels real soft. No ugly lumps. Lightly tanned. I don't do toe polish so my toenails are super white but my daughter said jeeze mom, paint your feet please!  Nah too much maintenance. 🦶

Ugly Smiley Sad  BUT, I had my first pedicure a couple of weeks ago and I love the way my feet feel and look (but mostly feel).  I'm trying to get back to the salon this week.

Tell DH it's form over function Smiley Wink  My husband wants me to wear more supportive shoes but I have a closet full of beautiful sparkly/glitter sandals and will wear them till we have a frost lol  At this rate, that might be sometime in NEXT year.

I also never go barefoot EVER...even in the house.

TOTAL OPPOSITE.  I never wear shoes unless I'm leaving the house.  I feel so much more secure and sure footed when I'm barefoot.

I bought a tub of Aveeno during my first knee surgery (for my feet).  It is some heavy duty stuff!  Glad this topic came up.  It's reminding me to use some tonight.

AVEENO Active Naturals Skin Relief Moisture Repair Cream, Intense Moisture 11 oz (Pack of 2)
