Favorite shampoo/conditioner for color treated hair

I'm finally making the switch from semi-permanent to permanent hair color. My very sophisticated executive Los Angeles sister-in-law just told me she's been doing her own with Clairol Nice n' Easy for years. We have similar hair color so I figured, why not? Just bought the hair color. What are your favorite shampoo and conditioners for color treated hair? I'm a-ok (actually typically prefer) non-drugstore brands. Also, I'm not a Wen fan so looking for conventional shampoo/conditioner.

Alterna caviar shampoo and conditioner

I use the moisturizing version on my fine highlighted hair

I also love the working spray and use it as a setting spray for my hot rollers and a hairspray

I also love  the Cavier CC cream on wet hair and dry hair

these products are worth the price in my opinion

AG Color Savour. I also use the Sterling Silver (purple) for my blonde hair. I didn't see what color you were doing, so I thought I'd throw it out there. (Also, I keep my eye out at Ulta and Beauty Brands for them to go on sale, as they are a bit pricey). HTH!

[ Edited ]

I have been coloring for years as well. My original favorites were from the L'Oreal line of color treated shampoos. Anything from them I thought worked fine.

Then, quite by accident, I stumbled on Pantene Sheer Volume Shampoo,  the clear one, doesn't really have anything in it. I have found that this shampoo and conditioner kept my hair color longer than anything. That includes the off the chart expensive brands, including Wen, Oribe and Acqua Di Parma.

For the price it is worth a try.

Wen

It's the only thing I've used that doesn't fade my color

Re: Favorite shampoo/conditioner for color treated hair

Hi @Rachb  - I was a WeN Only gal for several years, but gave up on it around last fall.  I've been trying some different shampoos and conditioners since then.  If you can get past the scent, the Skinn haircare system is really good.  I stuck with it for several months (had it on A/D), but recently decided the grapefruit scent was really a big turnoff.  If Dimitri ever fixes that, I'll jump right back in, but for now I'm looking elsewhere.  These days I really like the CAJ Beauty Foaming Shampoo & Conditioner and the Tweak'd Tribal Chocolate Cleansing Hair Treatment.  The CAJ is sold here on QVC and Tweak'd is sold on HSN.  If you decide to try either, be sure to watch the videos.  Kenra Volumizing Shampoo & Conditioner is another good one.  I've been thinking about trying Nioxin (#3).  They have a big bottle of shampoo & conditioner, each 31 oz., selling as a set on the Costco website for $36.99

I recommend Aveda. Bumble and Bumble is wonderful as well. @Rachb

Re: Favorite shampoo/conditioner for color treated hair

I use Goldwell shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair.  Love it.  Doesn't fade my color and it only takes a little. I also like Matrix Color Care Products and last but not least, I have used Suave products and had great success.  I did use WEN but finally gave up.  It is too costly and in the long run, my hair didn't really look or feel any different.

I 'm on A/D for Skinn and have found that the scent has been turned down a lot! I found the last shippment which was the 3rd or 4th order was lightly scented. People had been complaining so he said he changed it! But if you don't like grapefruit it's still that scent! Just thought I'd share. Hope this helps due to the fact that I think his hair care is the best on the market.I use WEN as an add on to my routine.I'm in love with WEN liliac scent.

Thanks so much, @RACALAMB2.  Maybe I'll give it another chance.
