I am on a bath and body kick right now. Mine are Kiehls Whipped Creme De Corps Body Butter (very light and fluffy), Josie Maran Whipped Body Butter, and Korres Apple Blossom body butter (sink right in and is not greasy).

Perlier products are great: I also like Bath and Body Works products but my favorite are products from the Body Shop. Especially the body butter in pink grapefruit. Bath and Body Works pink grapefruit was my favorite scent but when they discontinued it I had to find another pink grapefruit product. I also love Body Shop body oils. My favorite body oil is from Bobbi Brown, beach fragrance. For anyone who loves to use body oils this is one of the best products that I have ever used.

I am thinking of purchasing some body lotions or shower jells for Birthday gifts. What are your favorites?

I have many favorite brands and scents in body lotions and creams, but when thinking in terms of gift giving there isn't one of the brands I would recommend ahead of Perlier. When I'm considering buying a bath & body gift set, more often than not, I check out what Perlier has in stock at HSN before I look at anything else. The Perlier gift sets as configured at HSN are incredible values featuring incredible products. The sets are always full-size products (a few may even include one item which is larger than the normal regular full-size). The 3-piece configuration most often-- but not exclusively-- includes a bath gel/or cream, body lotion/or cream (sometimes both), and a third item which varies. There may also be sets in inventory with more than three products in them, but the 3-piece are the most basic.

I can't think of any scent in Perlier's line which is offensive, but I have some favorites. Among them are: original Honey, White Almond, Agrumarium (Sicilian Citrus), Pink Peony, and Snowdrop (they usually only have Snowdrop inventory once a year near the winter holidays). BTW amyb, probably due to marketing confusion, they have stopped using Elaria as a separate brand name. Now everything is simply listed and labeled as Perlier.

Well, I know it isn't a very glamorous gift but I swear by Vaseline Intensive Healing Rescue. I have very sensitive skin, especially on my legs, and this stuff really moisturizes and heals them and works for me all year round. Before I discovered this I used a lot of the St. Ives body lotions. They are good, but I like the Vaseline one better.

The best moisturizer is either shea butter or coconut oil. If you can find a nice organic brand that has a little fragrance to it, that's the best gift.

Pure coconut oil is wonderful. Since I started using it everyday, I've been able to forgo using deodorant, even when I workout.

Every skin type, age, etc absorbs creams differently but I agree with the posters who love Perlier as outstanding for all types, they have some beautiful kits they would make great and welcome gifts. I also love Jose Maran Body Butter and L'Occitane and Tresor by Lancôme.

For gifts I like Origins Ginger Souffle, Korres, and philosophy.

I agree with this 100%. For gift items, these all top my list.

L'Occitane hand creams are nice and often come in gift sets that you can keep together or separate into smaller gifts. I have family members with eczema or severely dry skin and I've gotten them First Aid Beauty's Ultra Repair Cream or Clinique Deep Comfort Body Butter. Neither of those are fragranced, but they're fantastic for skin that needs extra care.
