One of my goals  this year is to be more regular about using  Face Masks. I was wondering  if you use masks , what are your favorite(s )and why?

Thank you!

@Gorgf   Oddly, I've never used a mask. Do a lot of skincare w/ acids, active ingredients, etc. and just not sure I need one. Know they're quite popular. I do, however, sometimes slather on a rich moisturizer before a hot, relaxing bath and allow it to soak in for 15-20 minutes.

I've not used/tried a lot of masks, but 2 I really like are:

a) Victoria Principal Reclaim Age Braker Wrinkle Retreat Refirming

b) Active Argan 4-step

Both are moisturizing/skin conditioning for me, which I just use occasionally. I don't seem to need any drawing out impurities from a mask, but I think the Active Argan has those properties.

Forget those masks that dry and crack on the skin! Merle Norman's pink one, and Tova's cactine did that.

Masque Vivant (Biologique Recherche)

The only mask I am currently using. I use it once a week. Leaves my face looking smooth and flawless.

Although this mask is not recommended for sensitive skin, my sensitive skin likes Masque Vivant better than all the other BR masks I tried.

For me, skin care is always trial and error.

For cleaning out pores and treating or preventing acne, I like Origins Out of Trouble and Clear Improvement. Those have been favorites since the 90s.

For moisture, I like Korean sheet masks best, then Origins Drink Up Intensive and Josie Maran's Divine Drip Sleeping Nectar. I like to use a  sheet mask 1-2 nights a week. If my skin is really dehydrated, I'll use them 5 nights in a row to help recover. I always pack some in my bag when I travel.

I mask 1-2 times per week. Farmhouse Fresh makes some excellent masks. My favorites are Sundae Best (looks and smells like chocolate pudding) and Mighty Tighty. I also love Skinn's Divine Elixir Mask and the Watermelon Mask. Wander Beauty makes a very nice AHA/BHA called Fast Lane Facial.

These days I’m using Skinn Berry Pore Fruit Fusion Mask for brightening, on a weekly schedule.  My current favorite, however, is following up a Skinn ABC Peel with the Skinn Divine Elixir Luminous Skin Mask, also on a weekly schedule, for deep moisturizing and youthful looking skin.

@Gorgf - good news is that there are alot of GREAT options for masks. They serve different purposes. So before you dive in, what is your objective? Do you have dry skin? Do you want to do a deep cleanse?

Masks do make a difference to skin tone and texture. I try to do 2 - 3 masks/weekly. Primarily deep cleanse, exfoliation, moisture.

A few of my fav's:

1) Skinn Cosmetics Vaccum & Waternelon. Do this as a 2 step process - 1st vaccum for deep cleanse, 5-20 min; 2nd watermelon/mosture, 5-20 min.You will notice an immediate difference. Sold direct at skinn website or on HSN. Best value is to buy them as a duo. $39, free ship; you can us the $5 coupon for addtl savings.

I use Andalou Naturals Kombucha Enzyme Exfoliating Peel mask every week to exfoliate. I generally prefer enzymes for exfoliating but don't want that stuff to be included in my daily products. Works great.

I use Paula's Choice masks for dry skin.  I put it on over my moisturizer and sleep with it on (you are supposed to sleep with it.)  It goes on just like a moisturizer so it doesn't make your skin look any different but boy does it make my dry skin soft and moisturized.  Love them.
