Re: Favorite Decade For Makeup?

@monicakm   It was in the 60s I think. I was a brunette Twiggy/Goldie Hawn. Any pics that existed were burned at my request. 😂

@monicakm   You're funny. Compared to my uber natural look now, it definitely was a "look".

@ECBG "For me, it was about 15 years ago when Q had such wonderful brands and demostrations from Bare Minerals, Laura Geller, and Mally."

Don't forget the beautiful Holly Mordini from Smashbox.  I would look forward to their tsv's because Holly would give such informative make-up instructions.

Re: Favorite Decade For Makeup?

I guess what ever the year was that they finally started making make up for women of color.  I discovered bare minerals on Q and I really like it.  I only use the powder.  I have sensitive skin and bare minerals is perfect for me.

Re: Favorite Decade For Makeup?

For me it was when Bobbi Brown came on board.  She introduced matte lipstick, lip liner, beautiful shades of lipsicks, eye shadows, and blush.  She really did change the way we looked and she did it in a tasteful way.  But I also liked makeup going forward and how color eyeshadow was now  the norm.  I would have loved to be younger and enjoy all the colors.

I loved the "Twiggy Decade". I had her pixie, but with dark hair, black liner top and bottom and very mascared lashes. I had my white patent boots and mini skirts, too.

Loved the 1970's makeup! Yardley of London's lipstick was the best! My favorite shade was bubblegum!!!

Of course, I was in my early teens and thought that was so cool! Smiley Happy
