Faux Tan TSV

How long does this stuff last? I have a bottle from last year, but it doesn't look right. It's a small bottle from the store, not the giant size from the Q. Can I still use it? The only reason the TSV is tempting is because that brush looks great - much easier than the plastic gloves I use now. But I defintiely don't need the giant size.
