I have been using FTP <3 for at least one cleanse for the past few weeks. Today, I used 613 and my hair drank it up, like it was thirsty for protein!
My hair isn't overconditioned, so my protein-moisture balance is good.
I'm not noticing any abnormal or excessive breakage, so my ends are still glued together.
Any clue as to why my (bipolar) hair would absorb protein like that? Normally, it feels like I rinse out what I use.

Hmm...I have no idea Honny? I know I have oily, fine med.thickness and length hair and the Tuscan works wonderful for me. Maybe TP is not as moisturizing?

I love FTP -- the creaminess, the scent, and it does a good job with my hair -- BUT I find I get even better results if I add a pump or two of SAM. If memory serves me, Honny, you have a SAM bottle. Maybe try adding a little bit and see if you achieve the balance you are looking for.

Hi croemer!
I love, <3, LOVE FTP! It works perfectly for me hair on every level. I love it.
Because it does work so well, I wonder why my hair reacted to 613 the way that it did.

Hey island! I do remember you saying that SAM bumped up the effectiveness of FTP.
My confusion isn't with FTP, but with 613 and how my hair reacted to it.
I <3 FTP

Honny: My thought is that since you have been loving on FTP, maybe you are missing a little moisture. Perhaps your passive aggressive hair (love that) decided to drink up the 613 to compensate. Dunno for sure.

Ah, okay!
If my hair was missing moisture, I would see limp curls, right? FTP gives me Wen model hair: juicy, plump, bungee curls that are well defined and shiny.

Attitude is everything! While our hair is vastly different, the attitudes are the same!
When my hair needs moisture it is flyaway and won't bend.
