The two that I really love are Laura Geller's Hydrating Spackle (because I have dry skin) and IT Cosmetic's No. 50 anti aging collagen primer.

When do you add your sunscreen when using a primer and also a foundation?

I bought some of the large Laura Gellar bottles several years ago, kept them in the frig and I still use them.

Like the coolness of the product. The champaine and the tinted ones are great and they last forever.

Sometimes I put them on my arms and legs because it feels good.

Sunscreen first then primer then foundation last. @SeaMaiden

I treat sunscreen like it's a skincare product so it always get applied directly on my skin.

   @TVLand   I suggest you try a ultra hydration 12 hour moisturizer by Acure.  Get your skin really hydrated with natural ingredients, no parabens or none of the nasty ingredients.  This is $18.99 on their website acure.com  Then buy yourself a setting spray.  You can select low (e.l.f. or higher Estee Lauder -- your choice).  The setting spray will set your makeup and you won't need a primer just a really good hydrating moisturizer and setting spray.  Good luck.  I am 70 years old and never use a primer.

If you wear sunscreen and foundation then it's important to use a primer. Foundations, bronzers and blushes have pigments in them which can interfere with sunscreen by making the sunscreen less effective. Primers used on top of sunscreen will help prevent any interaction between foundation and sunscreen...create a barrier between those two products is a good thing to do.

I've been using Monistat Chafing Gel as my primer for YEARS!  I could never apply foundation again without it.  I bought some Elf Poreless Primer last week but haven't tried it yet.

I've been using LG hydrating spackle for years. I have dry 63 year old skin that's prone to itchy rashes. I recently got a sample size of Thank Me Later matte primer and I love it! It goes on silky and my makeup (Balance and Brighten) lasts all day and looks like it did when I put it on.

@Shanus  turned me on to a Bobbi Brown moisturizer with primer.  I have very dry, sensitive skin and the BB has been fabulous.  I've no reaction to it, it doesn't ball up when applying my liquid foundation, and I really like how it performs.  Hope this helps.

@Misplaced Parisian

Can you tell me what Bobbi Brown primer this is?  Is it fragrance free?  I am looking for a primer which has some moisturizer, will not clog pores and has no fragrance.  Thank you!
