I’ve worn Fairly Light for decades. I wasn’t Fair, too pink or Light, too yellow. There’s now Fair Ivory...neutral fair, lighter than Fairly Light. Since I’ve gotten older and hair changed to silver, skin is lighter, too.

I’m going to the Bare Escentuals Boutique today to test that shade. All fair skinned beauties who love the original foundation, stand by for review.

@Shanus THANK YOU!  I'm like you and use the fairly light.  I was intrigued by the new Fair Ivory.  My sister calls my pale shade, "check for a pulse".  I will be on standby for your review.  Thanks for taking one for the team.  Smiles.

@Misplaced Parisian  You’re so funny. I’m always looking for new makeup shades for myself and clients, too. Without any makeup, if it weren’t for my still dark brows and lashes, I’d look like Casper. Hummmm...my Halloween custom w/o much effort.

@Shanus The love of sisters!  I recently had a very scary episode of critically low iron and was paler than normal.  My colleagues started calling me ghost.  We could rock some Halloween costumes, Shanus.  We'd need some bling.  Smiles.

Re: FAIR IVORY BARE MINERALS

I am very fair and when I used Bare Minerals daily through menopause years I wore "Fair" and it was a perfect match.  Now I find a powder foundation shows off fine lines and is not moisturizing enough for me.

Today I received the BM TSV and my foundation is the new Fair Ivory.  I will give it a try tomorrow but it looks quite a bit darker than the Fair.  However, I did get the kit for the other things, and love the rest.

Haven't worn Mineral Veil for years and I brushed it on over the foundation I was wearing and it woke up and perfected my face so well I was astonished!!  My skin looked flawless.

The face color is lovely, perfect for a combo of blush and highlighter.  I added a touch of that, even better.

I prefer the Bare Minerals defining mascara but also like this one in the kit.  I use a different brush so I don't have one big lash clumped together, but it's worth it as it is a great volumizing mascara that does NOT irritate my eyes, comes off easily, and wears well through the day.

I will be interested to hear how all other Fair Ladies do with the new shade of foundation - I'll try it on bare skin tomorrow but will probably stick with my liquid Lancome ones that work so well and are perfectly color matched.

I usually buy Fair, so I bought the Fair Ivory TSV......it was too dark. Fortunately I had an extra Fair in my closet. I added it to the new Fair Ivory jar. This combo works well Smiley Happy

@MommyAngie  I love the locking jars, but they’re a b*itch to try to open to mix 2 colors. I use a dime to pry open the bottom, but too many times, it never closes as tightly. I guess I don’t have to describe the mess in my makeup drawer.

@author  My foundation does better not on bare skin, but rather on prepped skin...moisturizer and then spf & allowed to set & dry before applying the powder foundation. Thin coats are better than trying to get full coverage in the first try. In fact, I use a small brush to spot conceal and then do a swirl, tap, buff just once.

Re: FAIR IVORY BARE MINERALS

@Shanus

Thanks for the tips for the foundation; I recall when I wore it daily I prepped skin with usual skincare, let that dry, used a primer (at that time it was Smashbox), let that dry, and buffed on a tiny amount of BM foundation.  It looked great.

I used to get compliments constantly on my skin, how beautiful it looked.  It did - so I'll give it a try again and see what happens!  I may start using it for at home days, so fast and easy to just buff some on and be done.

I have used the foundation for years now as a spot concealer - best thing ever for blemishes, red spots, etc.

Re: FAIR IVORY BARE MINERALS

I got the fair ivory. Now I'm concerned that it will be too dark. Fingers crossed.
