@SilleeMee I've been doing that forever. I never liked a really distinctive line and this makes all the difference. And I don't do bottom lashes either. I would smear that all over my face by the end of the day.
Sometimes I'm super lazy and use a very fine liner pen/pencil thing.
Never got into the Walk Like An Egyptian thing!

@Goodie2shoes Wishing you good luck. If you were to draw liner along the top lid, above the lashes, you'd have to hold the skin taught from the outer corner, stretching your skin...definitely not great for keeping that delicate area from wrinkling.

@SilleeMee I have her same flat liner brush. When BB discontinued their pot gel liner, I purchased Laura Mercier's gel liner...in a flat compact. It's more waterproof (when needed) for liner, wiggling the brush between lashes. have you tried her liner?

No I have not tried that LM gel liner. It's sounds like something I could use.

I'm not an expert, that's for sure! I think for one thing, if you put eyeliner on every day, or at least often, it gets easier! I rarely use it, so it's challenging for me. Plus, my eyes aren't as good and my hand not as steady. I switched from using black liners (I'm 69 years old and it's too harsh on me) and I now use a very dark, warm brown or a soft gray. The one which I am having the best luck with is one from Neutrogina. It is not a hard pencil and is gentle to use. I kind of dot it on and then smudge it and if not enough, repeat. Gives a more soft look but still gives definition.

@Goodie2shoes I forgot the importance of finding a liner that's ophthalmologist tested/approved. Any liners I use are pencils, so I can sharpen them often to keep the point sanitary.

@AngelPuppy1 Sounds like you've found a liner that works well for you. Dotting the line and smudging it a great technique.
