Watching the Mally shows, I decided to perform my own "rubbing the back of the hand" test with my vast collection of hopeful thinking eyeliners. I used: Mally, Smashbox, Laura Geller, Bare Escentuals and Bourghois ... all of them formulas that promised staying power. I left them on a full two minutes, then used the rubbing text that is typically used by the vendor and to my surprise only one of them stayed put and was far and away the eyeliner with the best staying power: Smashbox. Both formulas of Smashbox were the only liner left standing after my test. Bare escentuals was the worst. Everything except Smashbox washed off easily with Purity. I had to use my Lancome eye make-up remover to remove the Smashbox. I guess I'll move it to the top of my eyeliner stack!
