Eyeliner Help Please

Hi All,

I have never mastered putting on eyeliner on my upper eyelid, either with a brush or a pencil. I'd really like to do both. Now, I know everyone says eyeliner has got to be close to the lash line and to use small strokes to put it on....but I just can't get it. Are there any tricks you can share to help me? Do you hold your eyelid down or what? Thanks in advance!
