There has been a lot of emphasis on the eyes, lashes and brows b/c of mask wearing.

I'm not a heavy brow person, they look very "normal" but I do wear false lashes and love them.  Soooo much easier than messing with and applying mascara and removing it.  I experimented with lots of different styles before landing on my every day (that I leave the house) lashes.  Ardell Whispies.  I may wear a more dramatic lash from time to time but these are good for any occasion.  False lashes have made a comeback in the last few years.  These Whispies I can't even feel I have them on.  The ones with the thick black bands you can feel and they can become uncomfortable after a long day.  I've had my whispies on for 12 hours and can't feel them.  Personally I've not see Tammy Faye looking lashes on anyone around here.

@monicakm   I have tried fake lashes and have never been successful with them.  I am willing to give these a try...  Do you sugggest any particular glue?  TIA!

ETA: Never mind...I see the glue that you have suggested.  Thanks!

I had a heck of a time learning. I used to put the glue directly on my lash line, then placed the lashes. I don't use tweezers. After getting them in place, I use a q-tip to pat them down.

I think the main mistake people make at first is not letting the glue dry long enough before putting on the lash.  It's got to have time to get tacky.  Give it at least 30 seconds.  I waive mine around or hold it up over my head and let the ceiling fan dry it Smiley Happy  If you find the lash is too long for your eyes, cut them from the OUTside.  Make sure there is no glue residue on the tweezers or they'll stay stuck to the tweezers and not transfer to your eyes.  Most people apply liner first to help hide any lid space if the lashes aren't perfectly placed.  I don't wear liner because of my hooded eyes.  I've gotten really good at placing them right on the lash line.  IF i need to, I can go in with a black pencil liner and color in any gaps.  I also tight line.  Wow, I've been forgetting to do that lately Smiley Surprised  You'll do fine!

You don't get pieces of q-tip cotton stuck to the glue?

I think that mascara would be much easier than false lashes. With the eyelashes, you have to apply the glue, let it dry, apply the lashes, hoping you get them on right. Mascara is a one step application; at least it was for me. The results look good either way, so I prefer the easier way.

To remove, just use a wipe or balm.

For me false lashes are so so much less time consuming than mascara and they always look good/the same.  No "bad eyelash" day.  No sitting at my makeup mirror, using a safety pin to carefully separate them.  I obsessed over it.  I can put on a set of lashes in 4 minutes.  It would take about 15 minutes using mascara.  Mascara took the longest of any makeup product.

I never heard of using a safety pin to separate lashes. My total makeup(moisturizer, concealer, primer and eyeshadow) takes about 15 minutes. I haven't received my clear mascara yet, so maybe add on another few minutes when I do wear it.

It's interesting how everyone does makeup differently.
