I was reading today that baby shampoo was good for dry eye. Where would I get that kind of bottle to make it a foam consistency?

@jjbYou can take any foam pump bottle and make your own. Put about 1/4 shampoo to 3/4 water. Shake and you have foam. I do use bottled water to wash my eyes.  If you want it thicker use half and half.

Re: Eye makeup remover for Dry Eye

I have Sojgrens with dry eye and too use Restatis and and Thera Tears gel at night.I don't use much eye makeup because I don't want to rub my eyes hard but really would like something to get makeup off gently.I want to wear my eye makeup again.

Re: Eye makeup remover for Dry Eye

I had a cleanser that had a foaming bottle, so I just cleaned that out and used it, but, you can get them on amazon. I just typed in "foaming bottle" and many came up. They said they were for castile soap, but they would work just fine for the baby shampoo. My eye doctor specifically told me not to use oil based cleansers on my eyes as it would plug my tear ducts even more and would worsen my dry eyes.

Re: Eye makeup remover for Dry Eye

I have dry eye and use either DHC cleansing oil for my eyes and face or Too Faced Mascara Melt Off,which is my favorite. It looks like a mascara wand with oil and you apply it just as you would mascara.

The best thing for my eyes other than Restasis is Oasis Lid and Lash gel. I apply it with a washcloth after I've washed my face and eyes and it removes all of the oil and junk that's accumulated. What a huge difference it makes. My ophthalmologist sells it and the container lasts forever.

Yikes using chemicals to remove your eye makeup is just exasperating your sensitive/dry eye situation. I have very sensitive eye area and dry eyes. I only buy washable makeup. No permanent mascara for me! I wash my entire face, at the end of the day, with good old soap and water. Woman Happy

Re: Eye makeup remover for Dry Eye

I use Ponds cold cream cleanser to remove most of eye makeup and rest of makeup on the face. This is  really good and like better than the cucumber cleansing cream  by Ponds..I also use Equate Oil-free eye makeup remover.put on a cotton ball and hold on closed eye for second or so then rinse with cold or warm water..I have the dry eye problem as well and so many products sting and hurt my eyes...This Ponds and Equate are gentle and I do wear alot of eye makeup including false lashes with glue  which is harder to remove. Followed up with Gel Eyedrops for dry eyes....I did the baby shampoo and found it  too drying for the eyelids....Best of all this is found in Walmart and not that expensive.
