Eye makeup and allergies

I seemed to have developed an allergy to eye makeup. I would love to be able to wear eye shadow and mascara but it bothers my eyes. I can get by if I take a Claritin but I don't like that idea and it makes me have strange dreams. Is there any product out there that you could recommend? Thanks.
