I have a co-worker that loves to talk about her green eyes, problem is they are definitely blue, not green. I used to have a friend in high school that would talk about the red highlights in her hair, only no matter what the lighting was she definitely did NOT have red highlights. I also find that sometimes people will call someone who is blonde a redhead when they aren't.

I always wonder why this happens? It is usually someone bragging about themselves in a case where no one even cares, so maybe they are trying to make themselves sound fancier?
