Just when I find quality, affordable skin care with a philosophy I can support Estee Lauder has to come along and sink their claws into it. I am pretty devastated and will have to go back to the more expensive Paula's Choice I guess.

Super.  I just bought 4 items and started using them.  Now I wish I hadn't, because if I like the products, they will surely be changed or made unaffordable soon.

Yep I have no faith ingredients and prices will stay the same. Not to mention EL tests on animals so if I buy The Ordinary products now I am supporting a company that tests on animals. I have been pretty devastated all day over this news.

@MissSugarKane  I'm disappointed too.  I thought this line of products could be just the ticket for me.  

When I hear that a company I was thinking about trying has been swallowed up by one of the bigger companies, I usually don't even bother trying the products.  

I'm so sick of finding products I really like, and then being disappointed when they wind up being reformulated or discontinued.

Forget it .... once Estée Lauder gets control the products will NEVER BE THE SAME!!!!

I wanted to try a few things from this line but held off because I am trying to get through my current stockpile.  Now I can cross them off the list. 

Good for them though.  Going from being unknown to putting themselves on the map fast.  I wish they stayed true, but business is business, I guess.  I wonder how much of a stake they bought? They bought a minority stake but I couldn't find the %.

The Ordinary line was a little hit and miss for me.  However, there are several products I loved, and was getting ready to reorder.   Will not be reordering now.

Is nothing sacred? Does she have to control everything?? Has she run out of ideas of her own? I know she's gone but whoever's in charge makes me ill. They refuse to stop animal testing.
