At one time Essie was my favorite line of polishes.  Since they began selling Essie in drugstores and supermarkets, I find the quality has changed.  Perhaps they reformulated the polish.  I know I've purchase replacements bottles for older favorites and the colors are not quite the same.

 

Any cosmetics found in these (secondary seller) discount stores are overstocks, discontinued colors, etc..  They could be old or rejected bottles from primary sellers.

I just bought an Essie polish yesterday from TJM.  I used it this am and it seems fine to me.  I guess you just never know what you might get quality wise there.
