Ihave the smaller version for less than $20 and I use it on my chin and neck not on my entire face. But I would assume the only caution is to be careful because it's not a chemical hair remover it's physical.and yes it hurts! But well worth it! The hair removal is for weeks at a time!

What is the pain factor when using this on the face? The information about the hair coming in finer is good, but does the Emjoi eliminate fine hair easily?

I have not noticed hair growing back finer. If it is a coarse hair it is going to grow back that way.

I never took the razor part out of the package. I'm epilating! Not shaving. Complete waste of money.

I like it better than the other hair removal methods I have tried but I have to use mine a lot. I use it on my face every single morning & I have plenty of peach fuzz by the end of the day. I know Lisa said she has no hair for weeks but that my experience has been that the hair comes right back. I need to use it a few times per week under arms and probably once a week on legs.

I use mine on the face whether I need it, chin, jawline, upper lip and lower cheeks. You do experience a sensation, but like the other poster stated, it's well worth it.

the sensation and end result are similar to waxing. The advantage over waxing is more control and no mess its so much easier! just pull out your little device, run it over your chin and cheeks wherever, turn it off and put it away!

I have a few questions for those of you that have it.

Does the hair grow back darker?

How long does the hair have to be to use it?

Does it cause ingrown hairs?

TIA!

no the hair does not grow back darker and I have never experienced an ingrown hair. it works on peach fuzz so apparently your hair does not need to be very long.

Thanks Andreatoo! I think I am going to give it a try. I had an older model. I only used it on my bikini area and I remember the hair had to have some length or it would not grab it. I like that this one can be used on peach fuzz on the face too.

No, hair does not grow back darker. No method of hair removal causes hair to grow back darker. It is a myth.

Hair does not need to be long at all, just long enough for the tweezers to grab. Lisa said it will get those hairs you can feel but not get with a tweezer but I have not found that to be true. There are some the Emjoi does not get & I have to try to get them with a tweezer. Sometimes I can, sometimes I have to wait for the hair to grow a bit.

I have not experienced any ingrown hairs.
