How bad is this unit?
I only use it on my face and the first pass I always think "wow, will I be able to finish?" I especially thought that the very first time I used it. It's tough to hang in there but once you've gone over it (I make several swipes) it's okay (probably numb!). I do it a couple of times a week and think it every time. :-) I solder on, though, and the result is SO worth it for me.

Thanks. I watched Lisa present this product on beauty day and she talked about this causing diminished hair growth because it's getting hair at the root. I assumed over time, you'd not have to use this as much.
That is really the only reason I would want this.

Well that's interesting. With my "more is better" philosophy I assumed high would be the best, period. But the first time I tried it I used the low setting (the high subsequently) and looking back I think the result on the peach fuzz WAS better! Thanks, willdob!

I'd guess it's similar to repeated waxing (or threading) because they're all just essentially yanking hairs out by the roots. Lisa says she's been using it a LONG time so that may be why her regrowth has diminished? If she began with the good old Epilady in the early 90's, that would be over 20 years! Not sure if she's been doing it that long, but I get the impression it's been years and years.

I've been using the eRase for about 8 months now and I still need to use it twice a week on my legs/underarms, and every other week on my face.
What I like most is my hair that grows back does appear finer and I don't have those annoying razor bumps/tweezers marks any more. No more little nicks...especially with my legs. They look much smoother and less irritated.

it really annoys me that they say that in presentations. If it really worked that way tweezing would cause less hair regrowth because it gets the hair at the root, too.
