Elf HD blush

I seem to remember someone recommending this on one of the threads. Since I was looking for a new liquid or cream blush, I decided to order the ELF. Holy Smokes, this stuff is like clown makeup. It is more pigmented than anything I have ever come across. I put a squirt on top of my hand and used my fingers to apply. Yikes... Instant sunburned face!!! The stuff doesn't spread well at all, won't blend, and too pigmented. I had to wash my face and start over. Couldn't get it off the back of my hand without scrubbing with soap.

I tried it again doing the blush first and the foundation on top. Better but still too much. Tried mixing it on my hand with some neutral luminizer and still no go.

Anyone else use this with success? Any suggestion before I pitch it in the trash or save it for The Red Queen" costume for Halloween? It is a pretty color, but that's all I can say for it.
