Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream

@RescueLover or anyone else who uses the Elemis Marine Cream. I ordered the recent TSV and it was on advanced order. I received it last week. My question is: this is my first time using Elemis, for those of you who have the Pro-Collagen Marine Cream, do you use it day or night or both? If you use it day, do you also use a primer before makeup? I am currently using Laura's spackle primer. Will the marine cream take the place of this primer before my foundation? Do I use both the spackle and Elemis before foundation? TIA

Re: Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream

I'm using the SPF version so I use it AM; however, I think the directions say AM & PM so you could use it either or both.  I don't think it's even advertised as a replacement fo pirmer.  I do use a primer with it on the days I wear makeup.

I'll admit I don't use enough of it to get the full SPF value, but I'm a minimalist when it comes to gooping up my face.  Besides, SPF only lastsa couple of hours, and I'm certainly not re-gooping on top of my makeup.

@Icegoddess thanks for your response. So if I understand your post, you use this first, then a primer, then foundation?

I noticed on the product page on QVC it says this:

92% of participants agreed this provided one of the best bases for makeup they'd ever used

Re: Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream

I usually get the SPF one and it is ecellent as a primer. For me it is better than the real primers. The other face creams can be used day or night.

@DJs mom Yes, that's the way I use it.  I mainly use primer to hide my pores and I don't feel the Marine Cream does that.  If it weren't for the pore issue, I don't know that I would even use a primer regardless of whatever face cream I'm using.  I really don't buy into one prodict does it all, but if it works for someone, that's great.

Re: Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream

@DJs mom  I only use Elemis Pro Collagen.  Mine is not SPF.  I use it in the AM only.  This is first.  Most days I don't use a primer next unless we are going out with friends.  Then foundation.

At night I use their nighttime pro Collagen and facial resurfacing pads.  Pads first then cream.  I use retinol 2x a week from another company.   Those nights I do nothing else.

Re: Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream

@Seminole2  Thank you for responding. I don't have the spf either, I have the ultra rich (the regular was sold out so I will switch my A-D to regular for my next shipment). I also don't have the nighttime cream. Can I use the regular pro-collagen day and night? Or is that too much?

Re: Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream

@DJs mom you can use it morning and night.  That was my evening schedule until they came out with the nighttime one. Is there a difference?  Probably not...just another way for me to spend money Smiley Happy  I do like their products a lot (except for their shampoo/conditioner that I tried).

Re: Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream

I've used Pro Collagen Marine Cream for years! I use it in the PM. I don't like the SPF version and use a different cream during the day, but the Pro Collagen is rich enough for me to use at night.
