I was looking under new arrivals and this one was stated as new when it really isn't.  This was on months ago and I was considering ordering it but waited to see the reviews.  Every review on this products was bad.  Now they have it again as new with no reviews. Hmmmm

I have seen QVC do this with a few other products as well.  There was once a rocking horse carrousel that had a huge amount of mostly terrible reviews.  Then they took that away and brought it back as new.  I actually followed that product to see how that sold....and the "new" one got terrible reviews as well.  BUT.... I have also seen them do this with a product that had very good reviews as well.  I think that the word "NEW"  or the illusion of "new"  sells better!

Unfortunately all any retailer/manufacturer has to do to call something "new" is to put something in a different box or add a ribbon or change the color of a part of a container.  Nothing has to be significantly new.

And still - consumers follow the NEW signs right to checkout, so, apparently NEW does work.

Yeah, it's not new. He's added more compacts with different colors which are available at Barneys. THey do well and customers like them as per the Counter Manager.

I had this happen with a fitness tracker that I bought for my sister. It was a Super Saturday special & a really good price. It didn't work. When I did a little searching to see what I might replace it with I found the same exact product on QVC with a different item number, on clearance, for $5 less than I paid, with a lot of bad reviews because the tracker didn't work. So QVC & the Bowflex company decided to go ahead & sell it. I lost a lot of respect for QVC at that point. I understand that business is business, but have a little integrity.
