@monicakm I have moved past the essence phase! Pared everything down to super simple and didn't need that step!

If I had  a few or more serums to layer then yes I would probably use an essence. But I only use two serums so I don't use an essence.

Yes. I wouldn't go without it. But it's one I make myself with green tea and/or use a rose water.

Studies show that the addition of water allows for increased penetration and faster skin absorption. I would rather go this route than skin needling or the newest craze of spicules. (That is, unless I had a more serious condition.)

When they say to apply to clean, dry skin, they are saying that to prevent any [extra] irritation.

And then, of course, one should seal in that moisure with an occulsive. You are set with beautifully hydrated skin all day or night long!

The new Beauty Spy one from HSN that contains spicules has my interest peaked, that could prove very beneficial under serums.

I also use Josie Milk Serum. I don't know if that counts as similar to essence?

I use an essence since I layer vit C and a couple of serums with some snail mucin.  I have several different ones.

If my dog doesn't like you, neither do I.

@bronxgal1

I knew I forgot one. This one is extra creamy and I'm on my second bottle.

Unnessary step for me.  No reason to waste the money

No, I don't use an essence, I don't need it.

I just started using NassifMD skincare after trying the detox pads that came in a beauty box. I found a set on HSN with the detox pads and Hydro-Screen serum and ordered it. Oh my gosh, the Hydro-Screen is da bomb. It works perfectly for me. I had some dry areas, especially around my nose with flaking, and nothing has helped. Until I used Hydro-Screen. Dryness was gone with the first use, and my skin felt amazing. The Hydro-Screen is used last in your skincare routine, and it makes a great primer.

His Nightly Restorative Serum was in another box. I'm going to get his daytime serum to try also. I don't know if it's doing anything as I just recently began using it, and two more products at the same time. But this line works best for me. I need some good deals on autoship.

I don't use essence. I don't like layering lots of products or lots of steps in skincare routine.
