ELEMIS cleansing balm or Philosophy

I have been a fan of the Philosophy cleanser for years. I love that I can use it around my eyes too.
One product for everything. Tonight I saw a presentation of the ELEMIS cleansing balm and noticed that model used it on her eyes also.
Curious as to anyone’s experience with either and what is your preference. TIA

Re: ELEMIS cleansing balm or Philosophy

I have used Microdelivery wash for years and my face always feels so clean. I also  use Purity for taking off makeup. I actually have a couple of small containers of Elemis cleanser from a prior Elemis kit that I haven't even used but I do use and like the pro collegen cream. I know that doesn't answer your question but I just love the Microdelivery wash so I think that would be my favorite.

Re: ELEMIS cleansing balm or Philosophy

I have used the cleansing balm..but not on my eyes...I never use a product on my eyes except special products for eyes.  I have tried philosophy purity...I tried it once... and it burned so bad I couldn't get it off fast enough.  And I don't have sensitive skin.

So for me I would use elemis.  But with all products it is a personal choice and what works for your skin.

Re: ELEMIS cleansing balm or Philosophy

@nelc   I stopped using Purity and all Philosophy products many years ago. I found it very drying to my face and  body.

I did order the Elemis balm from their site, but didn't realize I'd need an extra eye makeup remover with it. It was returned.

I went back to my cleansing oil as a first cleanse and a gentle cleanser for my second.

@nelc I saw last night's presentation and heard Emer or Shawn say it removes everything.  Didn't look that way from how much eye makeup was left behind on the model.

Surprisedly I really like the Sunday Riley cleansing balm. It s not very good on eye makeup but m skin is clean and feels wonderful. Other than philosophy not seems to get eye make up off so I’ll use the Lancôme biocil or the Garnier millecular cleanse which works very well and it’s easy on the budget.

@nelc

Morning ! I used Philosophy many years ago when Christine Carlino was with the company . I use cleansing balm as part of my double cleanse . I use  and enjoy the K beauty brands Beauty of Joseon and Pyunkang Yul balms . They remove everything and the prices are reasonable . I feel Korean Beauty's sunscreens , cleasning balms and essences /toner are exceptional . Have a great day !

Re: ELEMIS cleansing balm or Philosophy

I have used Elemis Cleansing Balm for years.  It works well to remove all my makeup even eye makeup; however I rarely use mascara.  When I do use mascara I use old school baby oil.  Some find Elemis to be strongly scented.  I have extremely sensitive skin but luckily the fragrance doesn't bother me.

I love the Elemis balm for first cleanse and you can definitely use it on your eye makeup.  Philosophy is not clean beauty so I don't use it.  But you can find less expensive drug store that is good.  I think the other one I have is Ponds.

Re: ELEMIS cleansing balm or Philosophy

Call me old fashioned but I only use a good foaming cleanser, I like the soap and water feel on my skin. No balms or oils or creams for me as far as cleansing.
