So I typically buy maybe one or two blushes a year if I need to after cleaning out stuff...which I currently don't need to do.  Last blush stick I bought was the Fenty strawberry pop in the red container and I love it. Have learned how to apply it and it's so very light and natural on me. So don't need anything for a while.

My daughter misplaced a Christmas gift she got for me and found it today.  It's the new ELF camo blush in Comin in Hot Pink.  And a lipstick.  She commented all you ever wear is blush and lipstick so...

I tried it tonight before I washed my face.  I put ONE dot on my cheek and spread with a brush.  Gosh I looked like I slapped my face!  It is so highly pigmented one dot was waaayyyy too much.  So tomorrow I will try a pinhead size dot.  Good Lord it was way way too much.  The website shows 3 dots and there is no way.

This was Elf's take on the

Rare Beauty blush which is also super duper pigmented. Instead of placing a dot of the product on your cheek, try putting it on the back of your hand or your palm and using a brush to swirl the product and then apply to your cheeks.

@monicakm    Ok I will try that.  I may also try a tiny dot and blend with warm fingers.  The color is just so pretty.  thanks  😊

Re: E.L.F. Camo liquid blush

@monicakm   Ok so I just tried the blush application you suggested and yes, it works much better.  I still have to work with it as I'm thinking the color may be a bit too vibrant. I did add a bit of moisturizer to the color on my hand and it spread more evenly.

Learning curve for me 😉

Good!  Keep working with it, you'll get the hang of it.  If you decide you like cream blush and want to try something a bit more high end, I can vouch for Makeup by Mario's cream blushes.  They are easy to blend and are not in your face punchy with the color.  They are buildable.  I have these two colors.  $30 at Sephora.

Re: E.L.F. Camo liquid blush

@bmorechick I mentioned this in another blush thread this morning, but I have  Becca Beach Tint iquid in Raspberry.  It is very highly pigmented.  Supposed to be able to use on both cheeks and lips, but I found it highly drying on my lips.  It's no longer available since Smashbox? bought Becca and this was not one of the few products they kept.

Anyways, I'm pretty fair and have to be very careful not to apply too much blush.  I put the tiniest dot I can squeeze out on my middle finger.  I then rub my finger tips together for several seconds until it's almost dry (as in pretty much dry), and then pat my finger tips on my cheeks.

Re: E.L.F. Camo liquid blush

@monicakm   Beautiful blushes...we have a Kohls Sephora here and I will check...

@Icegoddess   I actually tried this elf liquid blush today too as a lip color, dabbing it lightly on my lips. While it was such a tiny amount, it worked beautifully when spread with one of the Elf lip oils.  It's too dry to spread alone but as @monicakm  suggested keep working with it and I will.  My lips match my cheeks which I love 💕

Re: E.L.F. Camo liquid blush

@bemorechick how is the wear on the elf blush? I’ve been eyeing them but some reviews say they don’t have long wear compared to the rare beauty blush.

Love the idea of paring the blush with a lip oil!
