I believe their hair dryer is $400.  It's not my business if someone wants to spend that much for a hair dryer.  But I don't understand it.  I guess it dries hair faster, but unless your hair is very long and thick, I don't see it doing it that much faster.  I don't see that it does anything else magical.

This is a multi purpose styling tool.  It seems to be brushes and maybe does those waves.

I own a Dyson vacuum cleaner that does a fabulous job.  When I first got it, it made my carpets lighter from all the dirt an Oreck must have left behind.  I have pets, and cannot believe how much stuff comes up in it.  I purchased a fan that my daughter loves.  So I have no problem with Dyson.

I cannot imagine what these styling products do for that kind of money.

I don't understand that particular purchase either, but I do understand simply wanting something, and buying it, even if everyone else is stumped by my choice.

I've seen quite a few tutorials for them on Youtube and it doesn't work too good.

I can't imagine why on earth anyone would want to go on a cruise.  But I guess I'm in the minority.

I got a cut and color last week. When the stylist was dring my hair, she was using one of those dysons. I have an Elchim. And I have very thick hair. I swear to you, I don't think it took her any less time to dry my hair with that Dyson dryer than I spend on it with the Elchim.

Where the big difference lies, is that thing is light as a feather. Cause I asked her if I could see it, I needed to check that baby out. The stylist said she loves it, but if this wasn't her profession and she didn't use it for work, she wouldn't have bought it. I wouldn't spend that kind of money on a hair dryer either.

Like you, @hyacinth003, I have a dyson vacuum and I do love it.

@hyacinth003  For that kind of money, it should:

Brush your hair for you

Wash it

Dry it

And style it!

I got the Dyson hair dryer last week and I like it. I have been saving my Ulta reward points all year and I wanted to get something I would never buy myself. I also had a 20% off coupon that was good on Dyson, plus a 5x bonus points offer on a styling tool. I ended up paying $20 for the Dyson, but then earned an additional $50 in bonus points - so in essence - Ulta gave me an additional $30 when it was said and done. So far I like the hair dryer, but would not pay $399 for it. My hair is super thick and I wear it in a layered bob and dry it in sections. Because of this, it doesn’t cut down on the drying time..I like the weight of it and the shorter nozzle. And it is a little quieter than my Rusk Weightless, which is also a decent hair dryer.

@Sooner  I have no interest in a cruise either.  Too many people, not enough space.  Germs.  No thanks.

I think Dyson is losing their mind.  Yes, it is an excellent hair dryer but they could have priced it a little lower.  Women with thick hair will definitely benefit.  I doubt if it would make any impact on my hair so I stick with my BabyBliss.   No one should say how you should spend your money.

@Katcat1, I also have no desire to go on a cruise. I just don't like feeling trapped, if that makes sense. When we travel, we want to move about.

But germs?  Why would cruises have any more germs than hotels or anyplace else?
