Dumb question about putting something under tinted moisturizer?

I do not like putting any foundation on bare skin I definitely use a primer at the very least but usually a serum, moisturizer, and primer and finally foundation. The trouble is with tinted moisturizer I feel “naked” just putting it on with nothing underneath it. What should I put on beforehand? Or is thus a me problem and over thinking it?

Re: Dumb question about putting something under tinted moisturizer?

I don't know the answer.  I thought that using a tinted moisturizer was supposed to be a quick thing and then you didn't have to apply moisturizer or other things before you applied it.??? But, I would think if you have other issues, as I have, that you still might want to do your primer.  I don't really know though --- I'm just guessing.  I hope you get some answers from the posters here are really knowledgable on these things!

@Allthingsgirly67   I started using a tinted sunscreen that has moisturizer in it...DRMTLGY. Then comes concealer where needed or foundation. The only serum I use in the morning is Vit. C. Hope this suggestion helps.

Look what I just found! And it comes in different shades! And it is free of my "no-no" ingredient. This is a miracle (for me)

A tinted moisturizer should be applied just like a moisturizer. It goes after serums and before primers.

If you apply a primer before a moisturizer then the moisturizer can't do it's job of moisturizing the skin. Tinted moisturizers are not foundations. They are moisturizers.

Re: Dumb question about putting something under tinted moisturizer?

I use a primer all the time--over my daytime serums and moisturizer and I also add a few drops of a bb or cc cream,  to it as well--most my primers are colorless but I do like some color. Seems like the primer seals in the first things on my face--never feels greasy or thick--and it never balls up either.

My primers are obviously silicone and I think of them as a sealant. So you don't want to destroy the efficacy of a moisturizer by putting it under a primer.  Other primers I have no experience with.

I am currently using a tinted moisturizer with SPF and apply to clean skin.

@Allthingsgirly67

When I use a tinted moisturizer, which is seldom, I put my serums and hydrating products on first. I don't use a primer for a tinted moisturizer application. My face is super dry so no matter, I have to use something to hydrate my complexion
