I was having trouble with cracking and bleeding at the corners of my mouth and at a dental checkup my dentist said it was actually a fungus (Ewwww!) and prescribed Nystatin Ointment. It seems to be working.

Just today at my facial the girl told me that my breakout at corners of mouth and chin (which I thought was cystic acne) was in fact yeast.

she said to use Lotrimin with no carmax, etc on top

Since yeast thrives in moist environments, I will do as she recommended.

my lips are also forever cracking and peeling, and I'm thinking that yeast may be a factor here, too.
