My hair is shoulder length wavy and thick, I use a curly hair dryer and it seems to take for ever to dry so I leave it slightly wet. I have some weakness in my arms so holding the dryer is not always that easy how do you handle your wavy locks. I really need a keratian treatment but that is a whole other ball of wax. Thanks all

You should purchase a microfiber hair towel... they really remove alot of water with no damage.

Forum is not allowing me to edit post.

You can also wrap your hair in satin or silk to get rid of some of excess water.

@I am still oxox   I have thick, wavy hair and here's how I dry my hair:  After I rinse out my shampoo and conditioner, I gently squeeze out excess water, then I put on some detangler and a wave enhancing curl cream, then I put it up into a 100% cotton hair turban style towl.  I sit and watch tv or do chores for about an hour, then I take my hair out of the towel and let it air dry for about an hour until it's 70% dry.  Once my hair is slightly damp, I do a rough blow dry for about 10 minutes with a standard blow dryer, tousling the hair in my hands to create texture. After the roughdry to the point where my hair is let's say, 80% dry, I do a round brush blow out to enhance the volume and then I finish with hair spray.

Have you triedthe air dry method of using curling products and letting your hair air dry? I really like Aquage curl definig cream or Burmle and Bumble curl defining cream- this way it gives your arms and shoulders a break from blow drying and your hair a break from heat.  Wavy thick hair can be a hassle to dry, so I can relate! I hope this helps Smiley HappyHeart

Turbi towels from QVC are fantastic. You don't know what you're missing until you use them!

@I am still oxox   Sounds like you're already very well versed in honoring and enhancing your pretty waves in your hair Smiley HappyHeart.  The curly girl method is great and microfiber towels are a game changer- it used to take my hair hours and hours to air dry before I discovered them!

@I am still oxox  Absolutely Smiley Happy! And its nice that you're able to wash your hair and style it- I have gal pals who have varying levels of mobility/disability and some style their hair, others pay for a blow out and some let their hair air dry.  Waves can have a mind of their own- sometimes my waves are really tight and other times they're loose.  I have a lot of texture to my hair and the bottom layer of my hair is coarser with more curl and the top layer has an S-wave pattern. I get frizz all over if there's even the slightest bit of humidity.  Wavy hair is definitely a journey! Smiley HappyHeart
