Hi,
Is there a particular dry shampoo that you have found that you like?
Thanks!

I have found I really like Batiste Dry shampoo. Either a drugstore or Walmart/Target buy. It does have a white powder residue that you need to really work in and brush out, but it works super well absorbing oil-best I've tried of drugstore brands. My hair is quite oily, I generally shampoo every day, but this gives me a whole extra day if I need it. That's good for my hair.

I love the Dove dry shampoo- smells good, and cheap - I've seen it mentioned in several magazines as the best dry shampoo.

I like the Batiste as well. At Ulta I can find it with color options. Since I have brown hair the white powder is harder to work with. The colored version also can do a bit of double duty of hiding a bit of grey!

I second that for the Batiste for dark hair. It doesn't show on my dark brown hair.

Thanks, everybody!! I will look into the ones you mentioned. Good to know these two brands have one. Eager to try them! Thanks again.

I use Oscar Blandi brand that can be purchased at Ulta. I get it in the powder. I am very sensitive to scents and this has a mild lemony one that doesn't bother me. I've found I can't use many of the sprays because their scents are too strong.

Drybar makes one for the roots and one for the rest of the hair; I have and use both and LOVE them.

I make my own.
I have auburn hair, so I use cocoa powder, cinnamon powder and arrowroot powder.
Some people incorporate nutmeg powder into their dry shampoo mixes for lighter hair, and some people use plain arrowroot powder.
You really need arrowroot powder as a base for any mix, to keep the ingredients (and your hair) from clumping.
I put my mixture into a shaker (like a spice container with a shaker top). Then I take a hair brush and sprinkle the powder onto it. Then I tap off the excess powder, and run the brush through my hair. (Repeat if necessary.)
I used to use corn starch powder as a dry shampoo, but it looks ghastly on dark hair.
If you have light hair, you can use plain corn starch, plain arrowroot powder, or a mix of arrowroot powder and nutmeg.
If your hair is dark brown or black, a mixture of arrowroot and cocoa would work.
Cinnamon adds a reddish tone, so add that to either mix to make a light red/strawberry blonde dry shampoo or dark red/auburn dry shampoo.
