The only foundation that ever worked for me was bareMinerals. And then I turned 50. I had to switch to a liquid and tried several, including philosophy (their liquid hybrid debuted around the same time) and Paula's Choice. I researched all the drugstore brands and was getting ready to invest in L'Oreal True Match when I started reading about Lumene's BB cream here. I tried the BB cream and liked it, but when I tried the CC cream I found something that really works for me. I won't go back to foundation.
I have that issue of oxidation: Foundations turn me tangerine. Lumene CC cream in medium looked a little light to me, but it actually matches my complexion. You might look at the CC and BB creams in light. They are more pink than yellow.
If you have already found a product that works for you, can you order it online and have it sent to you? Lumene is available at Walgreens and CVS but it can be difficult to find because it sells out fast when they have it on sale. I just orded the CC cream from Walgreens and it was here in a couple days. Got 40% off each tube. I'm sure you could have your Laura Mercier sent to you. Have you checked out Macy's?

It sounds like you are looking for a BB or CC cream if you are currently using a tinted moisturizer. I own many many drugstore foundations and BB/CC creams. It's hard to say which ones would work for you. Everyone's skin is different. And if you buy the wrong shade, you will dislike it. I like Revlon Photoready BB cream (silver tube). It has a slight glow finish, same as Loreal True Match Lumi. I suggest buying from Walgreen or CVS so you can return/exchange if need be. I don't think Target takes makeup returns, although they have become WAY more lax on returns since last year's big fiasco

@Peaches McPhee - I too use Tru Blend. It is exactly what you say, light, but covers. So many foundations on air have a yellow base - I look like I have liver problems! I was going to get the IT CC cream, but I just think it is so ridiculous to spend $54 on a foundation. Instead I went to Target and found this and am very very happy with it for $9!

@henderson Thanks for posting about beautypedia and their reviews. Several were eye opening and I saved that site to my favorites.

Loreal BB crean is great. Light but nice coverage. Tried it once and never went back to anything else. It goes on white but blends into your color. I wear the lightest shade. Hope you find something you love.
