Drugstore Eye Makeup Remover

I have used Clinique' s eye makeup remover and like it. I have heard good things about Lancome' s remover , but I wanted to save a little money. Anyway I bought Simple dual phase eye makeup remover and OMG it burns like the dickens! It says on the label not to get it in the eyes, excuse me but it's made for that area! I don't pour it in my eye, but some does get in my eye, I had to toss it out. My question is does anyone know of a drugstore eye makeup remover that is gentle to your eyes?

Re: Drugstore Eye Makeup Remover

I  have been using a Clinique dupe made by Walmart...Equate Beauty Mild Liquid Facial Soap. I use it to remove my eye makeup as well as everything else. It's very non-irritating around the eyes and if you accidentally get a little in your eye it's not going to burn but  it stings just a tiny bit. It cleans very well. Sometimes it can leave your face a little tight and slightly dry but not at all uncomfortable or flaky. Please read the reviews over on Wmart's site. There are a ton of happy users. I have been using this for at least three years with no problems whatsoever. When I first started buying it I paid close to $11 a bottle. It keeps dropping in price and now it costs less than $5!

Now and then, I run out of Lancôme's Bi-Facil (double action eye makeup remover) and have used Maybelline's non-oily eye makeup remover.  It's fine, removes makeup well, but I find it's not as gentle as Bi-Facil.  I've been using Lancôme for years.

Baby shampoo.  I have used it for years.  Approved by my eye doctor.  Johnson and Johnson used to make an eye wash because my dad used it for a condition he had.  I have not seen it for a long time.  I don't use it for removing waterproof mascara.  I can't use anything oily because it makes my vision blurry.

@Jordan2The best I ever used is Almay Eye Makeup Remover pads for longwear and waterproof.  The regular s drying.  I use very little drugstore makeup/skincare items but can't find anything better.  It is so gentle on the eyes.

Gosh, Beautypedia gives that Simple eye makeup remover 5 stars. Bummer. If that stings your eyes, I would stay away from Lancome because it is fragranced. I would say if the Clinique works for you, (is it the Take The Day Off Makeup Remover?) just stick with it. QVC sells it, and you might get one the next time they offer a flash Easy Pay.

I just recently discovered L'Oreal Micellar Cleansing Water. I've tried alot of eye makeup removers, & this is the gentlest, quickest, most efficient one yet.

I was just going to suggest micellar water, too.  I've been using it for a couple of months as a makeup remover and also as a quick morning cleanse before going to work out.  I wait until after I get back home to do my morning skincare routine.

@grammarqueen, well that's surprising! I usually don't have problems with beauty products, but this burned like crazy!

@Foolywooly11@Jordan2 ~ I forgot about L'O Micellar Water.  It does the job as well.  I still prefer Lancôme, for me, it's more gentle on the eyes.
