Drug store mascara rec please BUT not a wet goopy ... - Page 2

I don't find your long running big name drugstore brands, like the Cover Girls and the L'oreals, to be significantly cheaper especially when you can purchase twofers (or sixfers) quite often of the 'prestige' labels. For example I'm presently using Bare Minerals Lash Dominance that I picked up in a kit (at Ulta) with 2 loose eyeshadows for...wait for it....$10.00!!! And yes it's full size! (although the packaging is different)

I have the L'oreal tubular formula, which is good, but I haven't tried the much less expensive elf or Jordana, etc (I do have elf in queue in my stash)

Flower's Zoom mascara. Works good, not too wet, and cruelty free, if that matters to you.

But I also agree that sometimes when you can buy a set of 2 or three of the one you really like, it ends up being about the same as a drugstore brand. I am always surprised at how much drugstore makeup costs these days!

CoverGirl Clump Crusher and Maybelline Full 'n Soft are my favorite drugstore mascaras. I need waterproof mascara and the CoverGirl Clump Crusher is my favorite waterproof drugstore mascara. Full 'n Soft regular is very good, but I don't like the waterproof version.

Lash Discovery by Maybelline gives excellent length. It has a narrow brush so it's easy to get in at the lash line too.

I totally agree with these recommendations and have been using them for years. Also currently loving L'Oreal telescopic which is VERY lengthening! I try and periodically stray to higher end but am always disappointed.

Almay is what I use and love - never wet or clumpy. I have tried others but always go back to Almay. They have a couple different types depending on whether you want volume or lengthening or both.
