I have gone from using high-end foundation to Colourpop Pretty Fresh. It retails for $16, but you can get discounts on their website at times, or using coupons at Ulta. I have very cool tones and I have found that most brands do not have cool enough shades for me even when they're labeled as cool; Colourpop does.

Re: Drug Store Foundations

[ Edited ]

I've tried all kinds of foundations, in all price ranges.  Even a Tom Ford stick foundation that was ridiculously expensive, what was I thinking????

One of my favorite drugstore brands is the Wet & Wild foundation.  Light, very moisturizing but great coverage. I have a couple of large age-spot type discolorations on one cheek, and the Wet & Wild foundation covers this beautifully.  Doesn't settle too much  in lines and wrinkles, of which I now have many.  There is an illuminizing version, and a more matte version, and the shades are very good. The price is great too, but that's not why I like them so much, they are just really nice foundations.

The L'Oreal ones that have been mentioned are also favorites of mine.

@Winkk ....It's not a drug store foundation.   But recently I tried the SEPHORA COLLECTION Best Skin Ever Matte Powder Foundation.   I really like it.  It is reasonably priced at $22.00.   I purchased it in the Sephora inside our local Kohls.

@Winkk

I am trying Missha BB cream for a skin tint.  I bought it from WM but I don't have it yet.  I don't know if it's consider "drugstore" but price wise it probably is.  Shiseido discontinued my favorite Smiley Sad

I use Cover Girl powder foundation.  I also use Avon's Dramatic Firming Cream before I apply makeup.

That's been my routine for lots of years ... no issues at all.

I tried the Covergirl with Olay and it made me break out like crazy.  The LOreal is much, much better.

L'Oreal Serum Skin Tint, love this stuff! I have repurchased it any number of times, light weight and yet somewhat build-able. It is worth a try!

Which just goes to show how individual skin reacts differently to products. No problems with breakouts at all for me and I've been using it for a while.

@50Mickey  I too have found Doll foundations and concealers generally to be too yellow. They offered one years ago that worked for me, but those I tried more recently were no-go because of the colors.
