Dr. Perricone TSV and the future....

Today I returned the Gold collection TSV from Dr. Perricone.  Even tho I have become accustomed to the strong scent, there must be a skincare line that can do better and not assault my senses.

Also looking for a line that can complete my requirements in treatment/anti-aging which many of us are searching for but yet not have ten/twenty bottles and jars around.

Doing research I discovered La Mer.  If they have not over-inflated its reach, sounds like many of my Perricone treatment products can be swallowed up into a few products from their selection.

Will still have a couple of Perricone fav's plus my Tatcha cleansing oi, powders and eye products( for now) but looking forward to trying this luxury line to fill in the gaps and get my routine slenderized.

Since this is a very pricey venture, we will see how long the products last etc...to figure out cost efficiency.  Always fun to try something new with the anticipation of even better results!

I wish you luck in finding some products that will rival your Perricone.

I am familiar only with the cream from La Mer; I have to say that I was not impressed by the ingredient deck. If you're not averse to Beautypedia, I recommend you check the brand out on that site.

Re: Dr. Perricone TSV and the future....

Having discussed at great length that very topic, I was more than assured that the "top of the mountain" ingredient from La Mer is the Miracle Broth....as they say.

All cosmetics have fillers and binders to keep things together so that was not my first concern....just what was it that gave these products continuous high marks from hundreds of reviews and comments.

I will see for myself soon enough!!  Smiley Happy

La Mer has fragrance in it.  That's a no no for me and much too expensive.  I absolutely love Paula's Choice.  I would recommend you try her Resist line.  Fragrance free, no color added, no animal testing and 60 day guarantee.

Re: Dr. Perricone TSV and the future....

I love some of the Perricone!  Not ll of it, but some products are my holy grail.  I wait for 25% off, I use mrrebates,.You can save a lot that way.  Perricone just had a 25% off thank you sale, combined with 5% rebate, and triple reward points, it wasn't so bad.  I have rarely ever paid regular price!!  I have tried Paula's Choice, and wanted to love it.  It did nothing for me. I bought a boat load too!  I have tried LaMer, the scent is healing to me for some odd reason, because it sort of smells like ponds or aboline, LOL!  LaMer didn't work for me, and I broke out big time.  That's just me.  It is expensive.  i did wind up using the LaMer cream (the rest of it) on my neck, and it it really smoothed the fine lines out, and I felt hydrated.  But I wouldn't buy it again to us on my neck! I used regular and the soft cream.  I wasn't impressed enough to even try the gel.  But this has been a while a go!  La Mer is rarely on sale too! Perricone Sub D is like a wonder drug for my neck but again, that is just me.  It amazes me how everyone's skin is so different.  What works for one, is poison to another.

I agree that maybe petroleum and mineral oil were the ingredients that did me in.  I am adverse to those, especially in combo. I think I may be allergic.
