I have heard the collagen can't penetrate skin. Any thoughts on this?

Collagen molecules too large to penetrate skin? I went to ingredients list and it does have glycolic acid in it. First ingredients Dimethicones.

My first thought is Why?  Why is it super-size?  Like I don't have any other skincare.

My Derm says the same thing, I take 'highly absorbable Collagen + C' by mouth.

Find it in any drug store, nutrition store, etc. with the vitamins.

@Brisky   Collagen does not penetrate through the skin. It’s possible, however to build collagen, give the appearance of  plumping the skin, from underneath. Retin A does this.

I’d rather not have my skincare supersized...unless I’d use it up quickly. Once opened, it loses some of its potency. Sitting on a shelf, unopened, for a year or two as back up is a waste of money.

If a product is in too large a container, I have to keep dipping in to transfer to a more user friendly size jar...it gets contaminated. I’d rather pay a little more and get two smaller sizes of most skincare.
