Re: Dr Denese Day Cream vs It Cosmetics CC Cream

Look, I didn't want to get into the politics of IT Cosmetics or any other Cosmetic company. If you choose not to use it for what ever reason, then that is your choice, but you should not interfere with those that choose to use it. My question was, who used both and which did you like and what were the differences that you noticed.

Why must those that can't contribute always interject and make a statement.

Thank you for your time and opinions of the product and how it worked for you. If anyone else can give their thoughts on the performance of the two I would love to hear them.

How rude of you! If defending animals offends you, then I question your ethics.

Re: Dr Denese Day Cream vs It Cosmetics CC Cream

Hello, I have and use both...Im a red-head with fair/light skin....On days i'm just kicking around I use the Dr. D alone after the hydroshield, on days that I need a more finished look I use the IT CC creme, and lately I have been using the hydroshield, the Dr D tinted moisturizer and then a light layer of the CC creme and it looks great...I apply a tiny bit of the bye-bye pores facial powder to set and my skin looks pretty darn good for 50. I think the Dr.D is great if you want a bare faced look....since I'm fair it dosen't really add much coverage..The CC creme gives me a medium coverage which I like. but with summer coming soon (hopefully){#emotions_dlg.blink} I am really looking for the best sun coverage I can get and will probaly continue using both together after the hydroshield for moisture. I have dry skin in winter and combination in the summer

Thank you so much! This is just what I wanted to know. Today I'm wearing Dr. Denese cream all by itself and I it has a real job on its hands. My face is red from crying all night and most of today as I lost one of my best friends last night. I will try the It CC cream by itself tomorrow and see how it holds up. I might be doing something wrong. I like that the DD is Matte but I use the hydroshield underneath it. I use it under the CC cream also so maybe that is why I'm not a fan. I do love It's Celebration powder and have used that a lot with her primer. Again Thank you for your time to give me your thoughts on both of them.

I too am so sorry for the loss of your friend. I have been using Dr. Denese's day cream since she started at QVC. It is my go to everyday tinted moisturizer that I wear over her hydroshield as my moisturizer. On days where I feel a bit more dry I make sure to apply a bit more hydroshield. It blends well on my skin and I am fair with pink undertones. It has never turned orange on my skin and leaves a nice matte finish. I STILL have been searching for a foundation though for evenings out or special work presentations. I have been searching forever trying to find one that isn't yellow in tone. I have been successful in finding one in Chanel's line and one in Lancôme's line but very expensive and don't have the level of SPF I want. I decided to try the iT cc cream after reading so many great things about it. I just purchased the iT cc cream TSV and I have to say that I LOVE it! It is more of a foundation look for me with more coverage than the Dr. Denese but I feel that they BOTH have a place in my makeup arsenal. I purchased the light and it works just great with my fair, pink skin. It doesn't seem yellow to me but not pink either. It is a very neutral beige on me. With the iT cc cream I still use my Dr. D hydroshield underneath and it is a perfect moisturizer/primer. I haven't felt dry with the iT but have only worn it 3 times. If I do feel that I become dry I will simply use more hydroshield. I hope this helps a bit. LOVE Dr. Denese and have several of her kits on auto-delivery and also ordered the iT cc kit on auto-delivery. Let us know what you end up doing!

I would look like a mime if I applied enough IT cc cream for proper SPF coverage. I use the IT sparingly as my makeup/foundation. I use Denese when I want a single step product with SPF protection, but I think there are better ones out there. Also, the Denese is more drying than the IT cream, in my opinion. I returned the IT TSV because I liked the cc cream but am in between the light and fair. Went to ulta and bought one of each shade and got a nice GWP.

Happy Elizabeth ~ I have both colors, too, as I am in between. Can you tell me your ratio and/or method for mixing?

samiam2 ~ I have only used IT CC and really get smooth coverage. My skin is combo oily and I get a beautiful finish. I really like both colors as I stated above as I use the fair to conceal, eye prime, etc., but need a better ratio/method for overall color. Sorry, I'm unable to give a comparison as I haven't used Dr. Denese.

I, too, am sorry for your loss. It sounds like you enjoyed a wonderful friendship.

I mix about 2/3 fair and 1/3 light. I could use more of the light if it weren't for the yellow. I got a sample of medium and I'm actually thinking I'd be better off mixing medium and fair, because medium has much less yellow than the light, even though it's darker. I so wish she would come out with more shade choices!......as far as method - I just use my finger on the back of my hand (I sometimes use a q-tip with the cotton broken off). I loved the brush that came with the TSV, but it was kind of a pain to wash all the time, so I've been using a beauty blender sponge to apply, but probably any sponge would work. The cc cream doesn't have enough slip for me to use my fingers and apply a small amount......I've actually mixed the IT cc cream with Dr. Denese cream, and that is a very good combo, because it makes the It more of a lighter texture and not so "makeup like".

HE ~ Thanks for your reply. I'll try some or all of your ideas. I just can't seem to get my ratio just right.
