Bought Bobbi Brown's stick foundation for my DD's wedding yesterday. Thank goodness we were in subdued lighting most of the evening. I went to the restroom and was horrified to see that my m/u had turned orange. The SA told me it was an exact match (couldn't see it on my skin).
I have tried almost every line and am so frustrated.
Here is what I think my skin needs: a creamy foundation that turns into a nice soft powder. I have oily skin although I'm in my mid-sixties.
Powder foundations leave my skin flaky.
Liquid foundations turn oily even though I use primer on my face.
Now I know that stick foundation doesn't work either. It had a tendency to look cakey. I applied Mally's pore defender for a nice, matte finish and that helped; however, had to apply it right before the reception again. It's going back tomorrow for a refund.
Sooooo tired of this trial and error cycle.
Is there a line of m/u that I may not be aware of that works for mature skin which provides nice coverage without looking like a mask?
I've tried so many high-end lines and still not getting the look I need.
