Today I received samples of products prepared by the employees. The samples are in small clear plastic containers which are in small clear plastic bags with either handwriting on them or a printed label. None were in company packaging. Pretty cheap and not sanitary IMO.

Re: Does your Sephora do this?

Yes, all Sephora's do this. You can have a sample of anything in the store.

I love it. It's a great way to try something without buying it. Saves me a ton of money.

Every Sephora I've ever been in does this. I think it's great.

Re: Does your Sephora do this?

Ours used to do this. I always threw it away. Who knows under what conditions the product was repackaged or by whom?

Now, you'd be hard pressed to get ANY samples, unless ordering from the Sephora website.

I remember the day ... you got at least three manufacturer's samples; then, as you walked out the door, there was a bin of samples to choose from; now, ... nada.

Hey, it's a great service to those of us who want to know if a product works before paying for the full-size. If it bothers you, just don't ask for any samples. Most of us think it's wonderful, wish Ulta did it too!

N/M. I was thinking of their perfume samples.

I didn't ask for any samples. The clerk put them in the bag.

ITA, I hope they never stop providing this service. Its invaluable if you are looking to try out a product before you buy, especially in daylight or lighting you choose. And the staff are great. Love being to able try out a new foundation, for example, for a few days and if it rocks, then its win win. I love the way they package when you ask for a sample. Much better than trying on instore.

I think its great! I got to try a facial serum that cost $65 for a very small tube, free. I wouldn't spend that much just to try.

Re: Does your Sephora do this?

This is one of the very best sample programs I know of and I shop A LOT! Then don't ask for take samples if you don't like it.

This must have been your first time at a Sephora. They have provided this service for years and and every beauty forum I know of has posters posting about it and singing its praises. Nothing new and it is company wide. Thank heavens!
