I like my gels as much as the next person, but bar soaps have come a long way from the old harsh formulas which dried out the skin. It's actually time for the "bar soap dries out the skin" sales pitch to be pitched out. I use a bar all the time and honestly haven't used a drying bar soap in years. Among the ones I like are good old inexpensive Dove; Perlier Honey bar soap; and floral fragrances in: Fresh; Gianna Rose; Asquith & Somerset (which you can find at World Market and online at Uncommon Scents); Olivella; and Olivina.

Another vote for Dove....I just tried the one with the coconut milk in it and it leaves my skin so moisturized and soft. I've also really liked the 'go fresh' dove bars in green and pink. Dove is the only bar soap I'll use. I'm also a strict Dove deodorant user.

Yes I use bar soap for "certain areas" because you are not supposed to use scented shower gels, etc. there. For the rest of my body I use shower gels.

DH uses bar soap exclusively.

Yes, I wash my face with Dove bar for sensitive skin and the rest of my body with Ivory bar.

My all time favorite is Dove bar soap. I've used it forever.

I prefer bar soaps over body washes, for some reason.

I like Olay and Tone soaps from the market.

I like Trader Joe's Lavender soap.

I also buy soaps from the Farmers' Market: salt soaps, mud soaps, scented soaps and baking soda soaps are my favorites.

I buy DH's soap from Costco. I like a variety of soaps, so I don't buy in bulk.

I surely do. I like Safeguard white bars, and Dove - both original white and the blue bars that are "Go Fresh" - restore, with blue fig and orange blossom scent!

Body washes I love too, are Lancôme Savon Fraichelle and La vie est belle , but in limited areas- as I get UTI'S easily- with fragranced washes.

I use Dove bar soaps & sometimes Lever. I usually buy the big packs at Sams Club.
