Sure, especially in the shower.

I like and use L'Occitane's shea butter soap, and so does my best friend and her mom.

Re: Does anyone use bar soap anymore?

It's actually more expensive to use bar soap for the body. I use bar soap by Zum which does not dry your skin for hand soap in the bathroom. I still stick to body washes, gels for the body. If you are going to use bar soap for the body you will need one that does not dry your skin. Zum, L'Occitaine are a couple that won't dry your skin.

I am a bar soap junkie and love triple milled soaps. When we travel, I buy specialty soaps from the area.

My husband uses Dial and always smells fresh and clean.

Re: Does anyone use bar soap anymore?

I'm so glad to read everyone's posts. I love some of the scents in shower gels. But I kept having problems with my ""Lady Parts"" or ""Undercarriage"" (those made me laugh).

I thought it was just me and I'm so glad to find out that other women have the same problem.

Re: Does anyone use bar soap anymore?

Good doctors and Gyns. have advised (for many years, maybe 30+) to avoid scented items such as bubble baths, shower gels, scented bar soaps, (popular and whatnot), in those sensitive area(s)........ too many UTI's. Nothing better than plain, unscented bar soaps, in that area. When showering, use the unscented (and others stated here) on the sensitive part(s), and use the scented all around the rest of the body.

Use deodorant soap for certain parts of body, but otherwise no, don't use.

Re: Does anyone use bar soap anymore?

p.s. Those popular deodorant bar soaps (if still available) are 'way too harsh', too. The more chemicals, the worse.
