I remember it was host Patti Reilly but I don't remember any of the first products. Anyone? I also remember thinking how are they going to fill an hour a week? Wow, look what we have now !

I don't remember when, but I remember being delighted that I would see some different things than the limited selection available out shopping. Back in the "old days" for sure. That was a big thing about qvc for me, variety and availability.

Early 2000's maybe, or even late 1990's? I remember Victoria Principle's line, and Clientele, and Yves Rocher, Yves St. Laurent. Also Perlier started here but moved to HSN, like Lessman.

I think their first beauty product was a cleanser and it was sometime in the mid-90's. Not sure if Patti R. was around at that time but I really can't remember.
ETA-
I think host JT launched that cleanser and it must have been sooner than the mid-90's...more like the late '80's. Could have been the Yves Rocher brand.
Look at this video! The item number is so low and those shoulder pads! That was in the '80's.

I don't know exactly when QVC began selling beauty items, but I think it was long before Patti Reilly's time. I used to enjoy Diane Young's products

I remember Hydron from the early days. Some kind of scandal with the company?

I don't remember when but I do remember buying Smashbox, Nick Chavez (I believe he was here for a long time) and there was another brand that I just can't remember their name. It had a southwest vibe to its name or products.

I remember Kathy Levine introducing Hydron in the 90s. Also Victoria Principal earlier than that. I tried & liked both.

@depglass I don't remember an "inauguration," but I believe I started buying beauty products from QVC in the 1990s with Dr Denese, who had full hour shows often. Lisa Robertson loved her hydroshield and promoted it relentlessly. I didn't like it, but I bought the glycolic pads, and really liked them. Bought them for years.
I came up with that time because I remember she had already been on air when I read an article in the NY Times where she was quoted about HGH as antiaging (prescription required and controversial), and I looked up the article and it is dated April 1998. So I believe she had full hour shows on QVC before that.
