Does anyone hear use a retinol product they swear by, not a rx

I don't want to pay a derm for a retinol script, but I was wondering if anyone has found a fabulous retinol product that they feel really works. Apparently retinol is the primary answer to wrinkles and skin tone, but I've also read it is very harsh and you must avoid the sun when using...

Thanks. I'm in the same boat going in circles with a lot of you who have tried many, many skincare lines, but they just don't live up to claims. Believe me, I'm not looking for a miracle, just something that works..
