So today my package came from the company Doctor Sweet Tooth LLC. I ordered late Friday 11/11, it was shipped Monday 11/14, and arrived this afternoon. I bought the 'Try Me' body spritz sampler set. It consists of six 4ml spritzes for $14.50 no tax/free shipping. For size comparision, they are about the size of my pointer finger in length and width. Larger than I had imagined. In order from most liked (1) to least (6), the scents I ordered are...
1. Cupcake
2. Vanilla Butter Cream
3. Creamsicle
4. Marshmallow F l u f f
5. Vineyard
6. Strawberries and Champagne
In my order I also got a tiny solid perfume sample in the flavor Candy Cane. Not a fan of Candy Cane to begin with and the sample was a weird minty smell to me. Also included was a business card with 10% off my next purchase at their website.
Cupcake
Initial spray on paper, this one had a very light scent. It does smell like a cupcake with frosting, but a little artificial smelling. It reminds me of Phil's Fresh Cream ALOT, which is what I was hoping for. Sprayed on my arm, the frosting and cake note get stronger as does the sweetness. This was my favorite of the bunch and the only one that I would possibly consider re-purchasing.
Vanilla Butter Cream
This one I was most excited to get and hoped it smelled similar to Fresh Cream. Spray on paper I got very similar notes to Phil's Sweet Creamy Frosting, but yet again something artificial smelling here. Spray on the arm left a stronger scent. Wouldn't get this again in anything else.
Creamsicle
I LOVE Phil's Creamy Tangerini and thought this would be a good body spray match for it. Not so much. To me it smells just like Tang, the drink mix. Not very much vanilla, but definately not a horrible scent. Wouldn't get again.
Marshmallow F l u f f
Right now I am having a love/hate relationship with this spray. Spray on paper gave NO scent what so ever. Disappointing! So this one got sprayed on my arm and I smelled Playdoh! Yuck! Very sweet Playdoh. Completely wrote this one off as a not in a million years scent at that moment. But...15 min later as I am writing this...I get a very faint whiff of whipped vanilla! Loving that scent, I smell my arm again, but get that gross Playdoh scent!! Ugh! So maybe this would be better in their other products like the Dry Oil Spray Fragrance since that is their most scent concentrated product.
Vineyard
I have a candle of the same name bought from the Yankee Candle store and absolutely love it!! Smells just like sweet concord grapes and red wine. Hoped this would be the same and sadly it's not. This is also not a horrible scent. To me it smells just like a grape Tootsie Roll pop minus the chocolate in the middle. I love those suckers, but just not sure I would want to smell like one all day. Maybe this one will be a dog hair re-fresher?
Strawberries and Champagne
Lastly and the one I liked the least. Smelled similar to VS Strawberries and Champagne, but not sweet at all. Very little strawberry scent and very perfumy. This really reminded me of the non-food scents I smell when going to the MN Renaissance Festival.
So overall, I think I might just order another sampler set since I wasn't completely satisfied with these scents. I would love to know if anyone else has ordered or is going to order from this company b/c I want to know what you think!
