Re: Do you shape your own brows?

Brow Power by IT.........excellent product & used for years.

Take short strokes....arch center of brow approx center of eyeball.  Couple of minutes to do both brows after u get the hang of it.

Re: Do you shape your own brows?

I have tried. It never works out. So, I go to a salon to get them done. They can become a hot mess super quickly!

I shape my own but mine aren't shaped into something they aren't naturally.   Hardly have any stray hairs that need to be plucked anymore.  I still have decent brows and use this to make them darker and add a little fullness.  There are fibers that help with fullness.  I'm 64.

I think I'm going to YT it!

That a girl!  I'd be lost without YT (for entertainment and learning).

I thought about buying one of those blade thingy's and trying to shave my brows into a better shape myself 🤪 that'd turn out well I know.... not!😁

It doesn't really shave them. But it does help shape then a little. Use it in circular motion and it trims the hair back to the skin. It doesn't last as long as plucking but I just take it around my eyebrows every time I do my makeup. I really do like it. My brows don't look perfect but good enough for me.

Re: Do you shape your own brows?

I'd love to have the skill to do this.  I end up going to get my brows done at the salon. Between visits, I use a pencil.  I'm curious about stencils, but I'm afraid I would end up putting them on lopsided.

I shape my own brows- I pluck very sparingly, let my bushy brows do their thing and slightly arch them so that they're straight across and arch upwards very slightly towards the ends to enhance and frame my upturned angular almond eyes. I like to look at actresses with a similar eye shape/brows for inspiration to maintain my signature brows- also, The Ordinary Brow Serum every night keeps my brows full and conditioned.  Whenever I pluck my brows, I do it in bright sunlight without makeup on and I give myself a limit for how many hairs I can pluck in one sitting- usually 5, and then I pluck again in a few months.

I know how you feel!  My brows are not good at all and I can't see well enough even with a magnifying mirror to shape them - plus, I just don't have the know how.  I have gone a few times to a brow place but it's not the best either.  My left brow is different from my right --- so that is challenging!  Lately, I haven't been doing anything with them.  I wear long bangs, so my brows are usually pretty much covered up.  I'm definitely not happy with them though.  If you go some place to get your hair done, they usually do brows as well.  You might check with them.  Maybe they can shape them a bit for you.

Re: Do you shape your own brows?

@Midmod   My brows are fairly thick and kind of dark, but the few greys are peeping through. I tint them myself and shape them just pulling a few hairs fron underneath.

I use an RMS pencil in medium to draw a faint line across the bottom for definition. Then RMS powder with her magic brush to fill in a few sparse areas to help the "sisters" match.

Re: Do you shape your own brows?

When I look back at my high school pictures, I realize my brows were one of my great features. Back then, I thought they were too much. I did some tweezing.

Now I fill in a bit, cause now I think they are too sparce. I cannot account for my changing views. But brows really do make a difference. I try for a perfect balance.
