Look at the edges of the compact. It looks dirty, that's how you know that it's used. 

Not to mention the little bit of metal in the middle that looks like it may be at the bottom in that section.

I hope you reported the seller to eBay and got your money back.  In all the years I've been buying skincare and makeup on eBay, I've only had one incident.  I reported him/her to eBay and was refunded.  My personal goal for buying from a seller is 99.7%.  I have gone lower a few times with someone who had 1000s of sales.  Never under 99.2% that I can remember.

I hope I didn't offend anyone with this thread.  I truly thought everyone knew about "hitting pan".  I have a gross amt of makeup and only wear it 1-2 times a week.  I NEVER run out or "hit pan".  I was excited lol
