Re: Do you have a ""What was I thinking?"" QVC purchase? Maybe O/T

Lisa Robertson talked me into buying a purple fringe jacket. I don't know why I bought it, but when it came, it went right back. It was a costly mistake as it was heavy. I must admit my shopping at the Q is far less and I never buy anything heavy!

Reminds me of what I did to the hideously awful "My Little Steamer". That thing never steamed properly...just spit and sputtered all over my clothes leaving lovely water rings behind which needed to be rewashed out. After my final attempt at using it, I took it out to the driveway, held the cord, and whacked the heck out of it until it was in little pieces. My neighbors got and eye and an ear full if they saw me!

I didn't care what I looked like going all "Friday the 13th" on that stupid steamer...it was very cathartic! {#emotions_dlg.blush}

I just went into my laundry room and opened a cabinet to see not one but two different steamers. Both pieces of ...

Very interesting to read how bad those crab cakes were. Are they gone from QVC?

Wow, they shouldn't have been selling that if they were going to discontinue the cups. That's just wrong. I would be angry too.

I agree, what a costly mess!

Just remembered another one. Can't be sure if these were from HSN or QVC, but I stocked up on "down" pillows. Technically, these were feather pillows and every night I'd wake up and have to pluck myself because I'd be impaled by so many sharp feathers.

The horror. The horror.

Seriously! It was horrible -- and painful! Now I know how poultry feels. {#emotions_dlg.scared}

Okay, everyone -- be honest here. Precisely how many tennis bracelets did you buy but have never worn?

The Keuring Vue. Big mistake, since they stopped making the Vue cups right after I bought it. My friend is giving me an adapter for it, which is very nice of her! But I am still angry about the purchase.

Same here with the Vue. Bed Bath and Beyond still sells the Vue cups, fortunately.

Oh Lord bee, I was hoping no one would bring that subject up. Between dmq, Joan Rivers, gemstones in gold AND silver, way, way too many. What a sucker I used to be - lol!

A lot more than I care to admit, but then I've been shopping QVC for over 20 years. I'm afraid I've been too gullible about some small kitchen gadgets, but no more!

I recently moved & most of what I donated to Goodwill came from QVC: clothes, small kitchen appliances, rug shampooer, bread maker, etc. Next I need to go through my jewelry; I think I have too many silver hoop earrings, as well as other pieces that I just forget that I own. This was a good experience for me, & I haven't bought anything from QVC or HSN for several months now. In fact, I just don't watch so I don't let myself get caught up in the hype.

I have a Total Gym sitting in my guest bedroom that mocks me every time I look at it. My intentions were good, my follow through leaves a lot to be desired. I did used it for a while, but the constant interruptions to have to stop to change the configuration just wore me down. Plus there was the time I drop it on my foot, and sometimes my hair would get caught in it. It was an expensive mistake. I occasionally use it, but I mostly go to the gym to work out.
