Re: Do you have a ""What was I thinking?"" QVC purchase? Maybe O/T

Several things I got, one was some kind of seam glue or something, a fabric glue that hardened in the container because I never used it. Some hanger hooks that probably work great but I never did use one of them, I'm sure they are still in a drawer. A lot of jewelry that tarnished terribly or just didn't hold up.

I bought the can opener (opens can, jars, bottles, etc.) and it will not open any can I have tried. I'm not happy. I thought it was something a 70 yr old would treasure.

The bloody Instyler, and yes the crab cakes, the big black air purifiers x2! I did get my money back on those crab cakes .I also fell for the super expensive hairdryer , I still have it doesn't dry my hair any faster.Give me more time I can probably come up with a few more !

Oh, good Lord, yes -- the infamous crab cakes. Not only did I order those for myself, but I sent them as a gift to poor, unsuspecting family members.

Instyler, Joys plastic jewelry boxes, a Hoover floor scrubber you needed an engineering degree to operate. But the one that takes the cake for me was the Clarisonic. I ended up with blackheads, and I don't get blackheads. And its pretty easy to see why, when I listen to their spiel. It works better than manual cleansing, meaning rubbing soap and water on your face with your hands. I never did that. I've always used a cloth or Baby Wipes, my entire life. Unfortunately it took more than 30 days to develop the blackheads, or I would have returned it.

Many years ago it was a rug shampooer that kept leaking so badly that one day when I was trying to use it I got so ticked I hauled off and kicked the bejeezus out of it. Out to the curb it went for garbage pickup.

I cannot stop laughing at this. I'm sorry you had such a problem but I have a visual of you kicking the stuffing out of this scrubber and I can't stop laughing. {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

Happy you got a chuckle out of it! May I add every kick was accompanied by some really bad words, I called that sucker names that had never left these lips before. Freed me up though, been using them ever since!

Now that made me LOL{#emotions_dlg.laugh}

Just remembered another one. Can't be sure if these were from HSN or QVC, but I stocked up on "down" pillows. Technically, these were feather pillows and every night I'd wake up and have to pluck myself because I'd be impaled by so many sharp feathers.

The horror. The horror.

Lisa Robertson talked me into buying a purple fringe jacket. I don't know why I bought it, but when it came, it went right back. It was a costly mistake as it was heavy. I must admit my shopping at the Q is far less and I never buy anything heavy!

Reminds me of what I did to the hideously awful "My Little Steamer". That thing never steamed properly...just spit and sputtered all over my clothes leaving lovely water rings behind which needed to be rewashed out. After my final attempt at using it, I took it out to the driveway, held the cord, and whacked the heck out of it until it was in little pieces. My neighbors got and eye and an ear full if they saw me!

I didn't care what I looked like going all "Friday the 13th" on that stupid steamer...it was very cathartic! {#emotions_dlg.blush}
