Re: Do you have a favorite exfoliating peel pad?

@Midmod and @JeanLouiseFinch  - After looking at some exfoliating pads on Amazon, I have just purchased the QRx Labs 10% Glycolic and 2% Salicylic Acid pads.  QRx Labs has a 20% Glycolic pads but thought I would start with this one.  I'll probably start using these twice a week and on the other days use a 2% BHA toner from Naturium that I've been using.  I also have that powder exfoliating scrub that you told me about @JeanLouiseFinch that I may try on alternating days as it says its gentle enough to use daily.

Keep in mind that products containing AHAs could interfere with other skincare actives such as peptides, copper peptides, some vitamin C serums and also niacinamide.

@Sugipine - WHAT?!  I knew about copper peptides but all these other things too?  I do my VC and peptide serum in the AM after my Dr. Denese pads.  The pads have some VC and a little bit of peptides in them so I think I'm ok.

@JudyL - good thinking on the pads.  A 20% pad sounds like it would be too much for daily use.

You're okay. Just let stuff dry down between applications. The niacinamide though might be irriating when applied along with VC but not always.

@Midmod  I went to the DAISO dollar store the other day and saw that there are a ton of LA Colors makeup products in their cosmetics aisle.  Do you have a DAISO dollar sotre near you? I remember we talked about LA Colors a while back. I hope that you're enjoying your Fall season! 🎃😊

I have been using Dr. Gross Peel pads. These say use daily. My skin gets dry so I have to back off.

I also use his Vit C cream & retinol cream. I like to use peptides & ceramides too.

I have his retinol pads & serum. The retinol pads seem to dry my face more so going to try the serum. I used half of what the serum said to use.

Guess I can try to using the serum once per week or every other week until my skin can get used to it.

LA Colors is made in China, that is why it is in the dollar store.

@JudyL
I found a sample peel pad in my vanity - goop glow. So it's an overnight peel you just rub the pad across your face and leave overnight. Maybe all peel pads are like that idk. But I can tell you my dry skin didn't act drier the next am and for days afterwards I swear my pores on my cheeks next to my nose were greatly diminished! So I may go with that brand.

@shortyshorty07: no, we don't have that store near me. But I have found some pretty eyeshadow palettes and liquid blush colors lately at the DT.

@shebelle: ppl are being constantly reminded on this forum that all beauty topics are relevant. So I am reminding you now. If me or anybody else chooses to buy makeup from the DT or any discount store, it's relevant and can be discussed here. If you don't shop there, we're not telling you too. Just don't preach to me about where my makeup is made or what I should buy. You don't live my life and I sure don't tell you how to live yours. That's why I don't come here anymore. Because I am not part of this demographic that shops here on this site. You have the dollars to compare country of origin and shop accordingly? Good for you. Because I don't.

Holy cow...🙄

@Midmod - all @Shelbelle did was make a statement, she didn't tell anyone not to shop there.  Someone could end up reading this thread and might appreciate that information.  This entire board, in all its forums, is filled with a vast demographic, income levels, brand preferences, styles, habits, beliefs, you name it.  You have the right to shop wherever you want and spend what you can afford or choose to spend, but @Shelbelle also has the right to share information as long as it isn't violating any board rules.
